BIOGRAPHY

Sandro Sampaio was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since the age of 13 with the CARLSON GRACIE TEAM in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. Sandro received his black belt from Paulo Filho five years ago. He has international experience living in Spain for two years and New Zealand for one. He has experience with several mma, bjj and submission tournaments. Besides teaching bjj and his competitions, he trained several police officers and firemen in Brazil and obtained his license to referee any bjj competiion. He is certified to perform cpr/first aid.

He plans to remain in the U.S. now where he will be teaching others to become great bjj fighters and form his sucessful career in UFC. Since he was able to train his whole life with well known fighters such as Master Carlson Gracie, Murilo Bustamante, Ricardo Liborio, Paulo Filho,Parrumpinha, Rodrigo Nogueira, Ricardo Arona, Raphael Abi-Rihan, Sandro has more experience than many other fighters.

How belts are received in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: There is a minimum time you have to remain in each belt. It can be anywhere from 6 months to over 2 years depending on your hard work. Sandro will be joining others to start a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Organization in Oklahoma.Sandro Sampaio Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is currently associated with Raphael Abi-Rihan and Paulo Filho.
